U.S. Women’s Soccer Team wins Olympic gold for record fifth time
In the final of the 2024 Olympics, the U.S. women’s national team won against Brazil with a score of 1-0. The match took place at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The only goal of the game was scored by Mallory Swanson in the 57th minute.
Germany secured the bronze medal by overcoming Spain 1-0.
This victory marks the fifth time in history that the U.S. women’s national team has won the Olympic title, further establishing their record for the most gold medals in women's soccer. The American team previously claimed championships at the Games in Atlanta (1996), Athens (2004), Beijing (2008), and London (2012).
The Olympics in Paris will conclude on Sunday, August 11.
