UEFA fines Barcelona for Nazi banner displayed by a fan during Champions League match

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has fined Barcelona for a Nazi banner displayed by fans during a Champions League match against Monaco, reports Barca Universal.

UEFA imposed a €10,000 fine on the Catalan club. Additionally, Barcelona will be prohibited from selling tickets to their fans for the next away match in the Champions League.

On September 19, during the first round of the group stage of the Champions League, Barcelona was defeated 1-2 away to Monaco. A banner with Nazi symbolism was spotted at the game.

In the second round of the Champions League, Barcelona will host Young Boys on October 1. In their next away match, the Catalans will face Crvena Zvezda on November 6.
