UEFA Investigates Attacks on Maccabi Fans in Amsterdam

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has condemned the attacks on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in Amsterdam and is investigating the incidents.

"UEFA strongly condemns the incidents and acts of violence that took place in Amsterdam last night before and after the Europa League match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv. We hope that the relevant authorities identify as many of those responsible as possible and bring charges against them. UEFA will review all official reports and other available evidence to determine any further appropriate actions in line with its regulatory framework," UEFA’s press office stated, as cited by TASS.

On 8 November, reports indicated that masked individuals attempted to storm hotels where fans of the Tel Aviv team were staying in Amsterdam. At least five fans sustained knife wounds.
