UFC champion du Plessis: "I'd like to get Chimaev a zero in the loss column"

Reigning UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis says he's ready to make a fight against undefeated Chechen Hamzat Chimaev.

‘More than anything I would like to make my next fight against Khamzat Chimaev. I would like to take a zero from him in the defeat column. Right now, there is still no clarity on my title defence, but as a fan of the sport, and as a champion, I declare that I want to fight Chimaev,’ said Dricus in his interview with YouTube channel Radio Raps.

At UFC 308, Chimaev defeated Robert Whittaker by submission in the first round.

Dricus du Plessis won the middleweight championship belt in January by split decision over Sean Strickland. The 30-year-old defended the belt in August, defeating Adesanya by choke.
