The UFC has reportedly reached out to light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, proposing a matchup against Russia's Magomed Ankalaev for the upcoming UFC 310 event, according to MMA Mania.

This announcement comes after the scheduled title fight between Kazakhstan's Shavkat Rakhmonov and America's Belal Muhammad for UFC 310 was called off.

The event is set to take place in Las Vegas, USA, on the night of December 7th to 8th.

Previously, the UFC president identified Ankalaev as a contender for the light heavyweight title. Alex Pereira currently holds the championship in this division. Ankalaev has previously assessed Pereira's abilities and urged him to accept the fight.
