Ultras from Inter Milan and AC Milan have been arrested in connection with alleged mafia ties

Ultras from Inter Milan and AC Milan have been arrested in connection with alleged mafia ties.

On September 30, 19 individuals were arrested on suspicion of extortion and other criminal activities, with several of those detained being members of the ultras groups associated with Inter and Milan, *La Gazzetta dello Sport* reports.

Many of those arrested are believed to have connections to mafia families from Calabria and are implicated in serious crimes within the football industry.

The investigation began in September following the murder of Antonio Bellocco, one of the leaders of Inter's fan movement. His death, caused by an attack from two fellow Inter supporters, has been linked to growing connections between mafia clans and organized crime, which operates at the San Siro stadium through ultras factions of both Milan clubs.
