Valverde on Kroos: "I Would Give Him the Ballon d'Or"

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has stated that he would award the Ballon d'Or to his former teammate Toni Kroos.

"Playing alongside Kroos, Luka Modrić, and Casemiro makes you mature faster. They gave me a lot of advice. I would give the Ballon d'Or to Toni. Not just for his technical and tactical qualities, but for his human qualities as well," Valverde was quoted as saying by Marca.

On July 6, 2024, Kroos officially retired from football. The midfielder is renowned for his time at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Bayer Leverkusen. He made his debut for Germany in 2010, earning 114 caps and scoring seven goals for the national team.
