‘We took a big risk’. Liverpool coach Slot - about the defeat over Bayer

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot commented on his team's big win over Bayer (4:0) in the fourth round of the general stage of the Champions League.

‘I don't know if it was due to the intensity of the game, but we took more risks. ‘Bayer were overloading the centre of the pitch and we adjusted the midfield line, choosing more risky tactics and playing one-on-one all over the pitch.

We created more chances in the first half, while the opponents didn't pose a threat in our half of the pitch. As good as they are in Europe, sometimes a strong striker is more important than just a fast one,’ the BBC quoted Slot as saying.

After four matches in the asset of ‘Liverpool’ 12 points, wards Arne Slot are in first place in the standings. ‘Bayer’ scored seven points and goes 11th. In the next round on 27 November, the merseysiders will meet Real Madrid, while the Aspirins will play against Leipzig the day before.
