Yamal's grandmother reveals Barcelona Forward's family receiving threats

Fatima, the grandmother of Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, has revealed that the player's family has started receiving threats since the 17-year-old winger rose to fame.

"I am very sorry that I have to leave the Rocafonda district (where Yamal was born and raised – Legalbet's note), because those who attacked my son have also threatened me. Because of the incident with Munir, I cannot eat. My stomach literally tightens from stress and fear. I am convinced it happened because people are envious of us," said Yamal's grandmother, as reported by Espejo Publico.

It is worth recalling that in August, unknown assailants attacked Lamine Yamal's father, Munir Nasraoui, stabbing him multiple times. Nasraoui was rushed to Can Ruti Hospital in Barcelona, and after a few days, he was discharged. One of the attackers, who inflicted the knife wounds, has been charged with attempted murder, while three other suspects were released on bail.

This season, Lamine Yamal has scored four goals and provided four assists in six matches for Barcelona.
