Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
In the base game, the reels are built into the body of the submarine, with instruments and gauges around them. The submarine interior is visible only while the reels spin, while the grid itself sits as if on the outside hull. The symbols are drawn in comic-book style, and the card values look like worn metal plates.
In the bonus mode, the background floods with red light, torpedoes appear beneath the reels, and Nolimit City’s signature mechanics glow with colour-coded indicators. Visually, everything becomes more intense, but the “iron” aesthetic is maintained. Firing torpedoes at enemy ships adds extra dynamics.
🎶 Sound
During regular spins, you hear a muffled hum and mechanical clicks, as if the instruments are operating around you and the crew is communicating. On wins, metallic echoes reinforce the submarine atmosphere.
In bonus modes, the sound ramps up: sharp alerts and tense effects accompany torpedo launches, while multipliers come with heavy impact cues. The audio track heightens the contrast between the quieter base game and the high-pressure moments in the bonus.

Special Symbols
- Wild: substitutes any symbol except the scatter.
- xNudge Wild (red ribbon): a vertical 4-row wild. It always nudges into full visibility; each nudge adds +1 to the multiplier. In the base game, it appears on the 3rd and 4th reels, in Silent Hunter only on the 4th.
- xWays (blue ribbon): appears on the 2nd and 5th reels. Reveals a random symbol sized 2–3 positions; if several xWays land, they all transform into the same symbol.
- xBomb Wild (naval mine): substitutes all symbols except the scatter. When it lands, it explodes, removing all non-winning symbols (except wilds and Bonus), after which a new collapse triggers. Each xBomb adds +1 to the global multiplier, which carries into the bonus rounds.
- Periscope Wild (periscope sight with red frame): appears only in Silent Hunter Spins on the expanded 3rd reel. When it connects with symbols on the first reels, it launches a torpedo attack and turns into an xNudge wild.
- Torpedo Wilds (torpedoes beneath the reels): appear only in Wolf Pack Spins. When they land, they charge xWays or xWays Wild on the reels up to 9 positions. After charging, on the 2nd and 5th reels, they become expanded normal symbols, and on the 3rd and 4th, they become wilds that also expand to the size of the charge.
- Scatter (green radar): appears on reels 2–5. Inside the bonus, each scatter adds two extra spins.
Bonus Game
To understand how to play Das xBoot, it’s important to know that scatters trigger one of two bonus modes. Their mechanics differ, but both rely on multipliers and the provider’s signature wilds.
- Silent Hunter Spins: 3 scatters award 8 spins. The third reel expands to 8 cells, and the Periscope Wild comes into play. Multipliers build up and remain until the end of the bonus.
- Wolf Pack Spins: 4 scatters award 8 spins. Torpedo Wild compartments activate on reels 2–5. Every activation or xBomb increases the global multiplier, which persists until the bonus ends.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
RTP — 96.03%, volatility — extreme. The maximum win is x55,200 times your bet.
Our Verdict
From our testing, Das xBoot behaves like a catapult-slot: in the base game, wins are rare and mostly small, although xBomb sometimes livens things up with cascades. Silent Hunter never triggered on its own, and Wolf Pack, when bought, usually didn’t pay for itself — though one bonus round did cover the cost. Overall, the game is built for those ready to endure long stretches of empty spins for the chance at a sharp balance spike.
Who it may suit — fans of extreme volatility and Nolimit City mechanics. Who it likely won’t suit — those looking for more frequent bonuses and a steadier tempo.
If you want alternatives, look at Dead, Dead or Deader with its western style, and San Quentin xWays with a prison theme — both also by Nolimit City and each with its own signature “painful thrill”.
