Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
Duck Hunters looks like a backyard warzone dressed up as a cartoon. The reels are built into a rough wooden fence, with an axe and a half-torn American flag hinting at local patriotism. Around it, patches of grass and a squeaky yellow duck add to the absurd “home-made” feel. The game mixes cigar-smoking hunters, a flashy lady, an old man with a beard and a secretive agent type, while ducks with shotguns and beer cans complete the scene. The result is pure parody — exaggerated, messy and unmistakably American.
🎶 Sound
The soundtrack leans toward playful country, only twisted into self-aware comedy. Spins and cascades click and pop like old toy rifles, while bonus rounds erupt in noisy chaos — bombs rumble, ducks quack, and everything sounds one step from total mayhem. The audio keeps the parody front and centre: it’s not trying to be realistic hunting, it’s a noisy cartoon shootout where both sides are armed for laughs.

Special Symbols
Duck Hunters packs several trademark Nolimit City features:
- Wild (wooden badge with the word WILD): substitutes for all regular symbols except the scatter. It can form part of scatter wins and helps boost position multipliers faster. It has no standalone payout.
- Scatter (yellow sign with the word HUNTING and a black duck silhouette): triggers free spins when three or more land. The number of scatters decides which bonus level activates — Duck Hunt, Hawk Eye or Big Game.
- xWays: transforms into a random regular symbol and multiplies the position multiplier by x2, x4 or x8.
- Infectious xWays: expands all matching symbols on the grid to the same size; if several xWays or Infectious xWays appear, they all transform into the same symbol.
- Bomb: explodes in a 3x3 area, removes regular symbols and doubles the position multiplier on affected cells. Wilds and bonus symbols remain untouched.
Bonus Game
Duck Hunters features three levels of free spins, each tied to how many scatters land:
- Duck Hunt Spins — 3 scatters award 7 spins. All position multipliers from the final base spin carry over into the bonus. An extra +1 Shot symbol adds one more spin. At the start, one random upgrade is chosen: Infectious xWays replacing regular xWays, an expanded Bomb explosion covering 5x5 cells, or Extra +2 Shots for double spin additions.
- Hawk Eye Spins — 4 scatters trigger 8 spins with two random upgrades active.
- Big Game Spins — 5 scatters launch 10 spins where all three upgrades apply at once.
After any bonus ends, an Extra Spin option may appear. It’s a paid spin that preserves all current multipliers on the grid. The price depends on their total value: the higher the multipliers, the more expensive the spin. The cost is shown only if it does not exceed the previous win, preventing direct balance loss. Bonus symbols do not appear during this round — it’s more of a “second shot” at cashing in an already charged setup. Still, a few unlucky Extra Spins can easily drain most of what was gained in the free spins, so caution is advised.
The xBet option doubles the current stake (x2) and guarantees a Bonus symbol on the second reel. With it active, the chance of triggering free spins increases roughly fivefold compared to the standard bet.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
RTP — 96.05%. Volatility — extreme. Maximum win capped at x30,000 from the bet.
Our Verdict
Duck Hunters is one of those games that feels quiet at first — until the grid suddenly erupts in bombs and the multipliers skyrocket. During testing, it proved wildly unstable: hundreds of empty spins can pass before a single Extra Spin changes everything. It looks tongue-in-cheek, even silly, yet behind the parody lies a brutal mathematical model.
This one suits players who enjoy high risk and long dry stretches. Newcomers might find it punishing, but seasoned slot fans will appreciate how xWays, Bomb and position multipliers interact. For something with a more familiar setup, try The Dog House Megaways with its mix of sticky and roaming wilds, or Wild West Gold, which wraps spins in a classic cowboy theme.
