The playing field in Tombstone R.I.P is a wooden board with nails and blood streaks. Symbols are wanted cowboys and scratched-out card values from A to 10. Colours are muted, as if the slot’s been scorched in the sun.
But everything changes once a new mode kicks in. First, you get a newspaper-style intro with portraits of the doomed, then a shot of three empty nooses at sunset. The game moves to an even more deserted town where everything freezes in anticipation of execution.
In another bonus, you're greeted by a beautiful woman with a glass at the bar. A second later — she’s on the gallows, and the city behind her is in flames. Everything is drenched in fire, reels tremble, multipliers burst into life. The tempo rises along with the tension.
Animations don’t let go, even in the base game. Symbols flash, twitch, wilds shoot across full reels, axes, and blood fly across the screen. It all appears suddenly — no transitions, no pauses. Tombstone R.I.P keeps you on edge, even when nothing is happening.
🎶 Sound
Tombstone R.I.P features a melody from a classic Western — slow-paced with a cautious rhythm. Each spin is accompanied by the sound of a cocked gun. When special symbols appear, thematic effects come in: the crunch of an axe strike, a muffled gunshot, a short echo. All the sounds immerse you fully — it feels like you're not spinning a slot, but entering a saloon where you’re clearly unwelcome.

Tombstone R.I.P uses the Win Ways system: identical symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left form a win, and splits double the cells, increasing the number of ways dramatically.
Winning Combinations
Combinations are formed left to right on adjacent reels, and due to the increased number of ways, actual payouts often differ from the flat table values. It all depends on how the slot lays out the field.

Special Symbols
Tombstone R.I.P is built not on paylines, but on mechanics. There are more special symbols than regular ones, and nearly every one brings chaos — cutting, splitting, multiplying, or nullifying wins.
- Standard Wild: appears on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. Substitutes symbols but doesn’t pay on its own.
- xNudge (Wild): full-reel wild that appears partially and nudges into full view. Each nudge adds +1 to a multiplier. All wilds stack. Appears only on reels 2, 3, and 4.
- Reel Split (Wild): lands on reels 2, 3, and 4. Splits itself and the reel — each symbol is duplicated, dramatically increasing the number of ways.
- xSplit (Wild): only appears on the final reel, takes up two spaces. When it lands, it slices symbols on reels to the left in one of four directions (top row, bottom, middle, or diagonal). Sliced symbols are doubled. If it hits an xNudge Wild, it also doubles its multiplier.
- Hang 'em High (Scatter): appears on the three central reels in the base game. Three trigger free spins. If only two land, they turn into Reel Split Wilds.
- Boothill (Scatter): appears only on reel 5. Without a bonus, it triggers a respin of that reel with a guaranteed cowboy. That cowboy turns wild across the entire grid — all his copies become wilds. A random multiplier from x5 to x999 applies to all matches with that symbol for that spin.
- xRIP: if a combination pays less than your bet, xRIP activates. In that case, you receive nothing — not even 10 cents.
Bonus Game
In Tombstone R.I.P, there are two bonus modes, and both start with the same event — the appearance of scatters on the central reels.
Hang ’em High Freespins are triggered by 3 scatters and award 8 free spins, including a global multiplier that accumulates until the end of the bonus. Each wild increases it: regular — by 1, Reel Split and xSplit — by 2, xNudge — from 1 to 3 depending on the depth of the nudge. All of this adds up and stays above the reels until the final spin, and every payout is multiplied by the global multiplier at the moment of the win.
Boothill Freespins can be accessed in two ways: either directly (3 scatters + Boot Hill on the 5th reel) to receive 10 free spins, or via an upgrade from Hang ’em High (+2 spins and transfer of the already accumulated multiplier).
The main feature of each spin: before spinning, the slot runs a lottery — in the Boothill panel, a random cowboy and a multiplier for him (x5–x999) appear. All copies of the selected cowboy on the reels turn into wilds with that multiplier.
How payouts are calculated:
- First, the local multiplier of the cowboy is added to the global multiplier of the bonus.
- The final payout is then calculated using this combined value.
- The local multiplier burns out, and the lottery resets for the next spin.
The global multiplier in this mode continues to grow from spin to spin (it is increased by regular Wilds, Reel Split, and xNudge).
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
Tombstone R.I.P is a slot with extremely high volatility. The developer itself labels it as Insane, meaning crazy or mad. This means that wins will be extremely rare — but sometimes, truly massive. Emphasis on sometimes.
The maximum win here is x300,000 times the bet, but the chance of hitting it is nearly zero. The base RTP is 96.08%, though it may vary slightly depending on the game mode.
Our Verdict
Tombstone R.I.P is a slot that you need to approach with a clear head. The base game feels like a formality: it’s almost impossible to tell what exactly triggered the payout — everything pulses, flashes, explodes. Wins are rare, modest, and seem random. Once every fifty spins, the slot might wake up and deliver something energetic — but more often, it doesn’t. Even a bonus with a 7x global multiplier ended up paying just 6x the bet. Sad.
With the Booster, the game becomes a bit livelier: bonuses drop noticeably more often, and if you're going to spin this slot at all, it should be with the Booster on. It’s inexpensive, and the chance of hitting free spins is significantly higher. But even then — maximum drama, minimal breakthrough. Almost all bonuses top out at x25.
Boothill Freespins, however, are a whole different story. They’re expensive (x3000), but every spin feels like a movie scene: wilds all over the reels, dozens of win paths, multipliers in the tens. One bonus paid x9300. Another — x16000. The only problem is that landing this bonus from regular play is nearly impossible — only realistic through Bonus Buy.
Tombstone R.I.P is not a slot for a relaxing evening. It’s a showcase of what Nolimit City can do when they take the brakes off. Suited for those tired of calmer games and looking to rattle their nerves. And if you want more in the same vein, check out:
- Mental — a harsh asylum setting, multipliers and a constant sense of unease
- Kill ’Em All — a slot about punches, re-spins and chests. Defeat monsters, stack upgrades, and every fourth one is a boss with a bonus.
