Betting tip
Denmark have been more effective going forward, and that is where I see their advantage. They have scored at least two goals in normal time in seven of their last ten completed matches. Wales will have to contain a side that regularly finds the net.
Their recent meeting showed how difficult that can be: Denmark won 2:0 and had 20 shots to Wales’s 10. Wales held firm until half-time, but conceded twice after the break and could not find a reply.
Wales are struggling in attack. They failed to score against either Portugal or Denmark in their first two UEFA Nations League matches and are now six matches without a win. The home crowd will back them in Cardiff, but they will still have to create chances themselves.
I do not expect a rout: eight of Wales’s last ten matches have featured no more than three goals. That low total does not necessarily mean their defence is reliable, though. The same run includes 0:2 and 0:3 defeats to Denmark and England respectively.
Denmark have already shown they can break down Wales’s defence and hold on to their lead. It will be harder away from home, but Wales have offered too little in response so far. I am backing Denmark to win.
