Tombstone Slaughter: El Gordo's Revenge: дDesign and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
Tombstone Slaughter: El Gordo’s Revenge maintains Nolimit City’s signature level of quality — which means there’s no point nitpicking the details. Even secondary effects, like bullets piercing the screen between spins, are crafted so well that you end up glued to the screen, pressing spin again and again. The style is a brutal Western set among the ruins of a town, where every frame looks as if it was drawn with the thought, “what would this look like in a nightmare?”. But for Nolimit, that’s more of a standard than an achievement.
🎶 Sound
The soundtrack strikes a balance between a cowboy score and a horror scene. At times you hear a violin straight out of an old Western, and at others — eerie notes that make it feel like an axe-wielding maniac is about to appear on screen. As a result, the sound doesn’t serve as mere background; it works as a constant reminder that this slot isn’t about fun — it’s about slaughter, and no one here promises an easy ride.

Special Symbols
- xNudge Wilds — Wild symbols that can appear only on reels 2–5. If the symbol lands partially, it automatically nudges to fill the entire reel. Each such movement increases the win multiplier by +1. If multiple Wilds land on the same spin, their multipliers are combined.
- Scatter (Slaughter) — appears on reels 2–5. When two Scatters land, they transform into Reel Split Wilds and split themselves and all other symbols on that reel in half.
- El Gordo’s Revenge Meter — available during bonus free spins. It’s a progressive counter with levels from 1 to 5. Each level grants Wilds a higher starting multiplier (x1 → x2 → x3 → x4 → x5). Bonus symbols add extra spins, fill the meter, and increase the multipliers for the following levels. When all four symbols are collected, the game advances to the next level, adding 5 additional free spins.
Revolver (Quick Draw) — a special symbol found only on the sixth reel. If it covers the entire reel, one of the following random effects is triggered:
- Backstab Wild — turns a random symbol on reels 2–5 into a Wild.
- Shootout Wild — turns all instances of the selected symbol on reels 2–5 into Wilds.
- xSplit — splits the selected symbol into 2, doubling its size. For xNudge, it also doubles the multiplier.
- Infectious xSplit — splits all instances of the selected symbol on reels 2–5.
- Justice Wild — adds an xNudge Wild to the position of one of the character symbols and nudges it upwards, each step adding +1 to the multiplier.
- Boothill Multiplier — selects a character and assigns a win multiplier from x5 to x999.
Bonus Game
- Slaughter Spins — triggered when 3 Scatters land. The player receives 5 free spins. On the last reel, there is always either a full character with a multiplier from x5 to x99, or a revolver symbol. In this mode, the El Gordo’s Revenge Meter is activated — you need to collect bonus symbols to level up and increase the multipliers. If the round starts with 4 Scatters, two sections of the meter are already filled, and the level multipliers become higher.
- Massacre Spins — a rarer and tougher version of the bonus. Triggered when a full revolver lands together with 3 or 4 Scatters. The player again receives 5 spins, but the revolver remains locked in place until the end of the bonus, activating its effects on every spin. With 4 Scatters, the revenge meter also starts with two filled sections and boosted multipliers.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
The base RTP in Tombstone Slaughter: El Gordo’s Revenge is 96.01%. The developer classifies volatility as Insane — meaning bonuses may not appear for hundreds of spins, but when the slot finally “fires,” it does so in a big way. The maximum win is capped at x500,000 of the bet. Once this limit is reached, the game immediately ends the round and pays out the cap — without finishing the spin.
Our Verdict
Tombstone Slaughter: El Gordo’s Revenge is not a slot for the faint-hearted. The xRIP mechanic cuts small wins down to zero, bonuses take real effort to trigger, and the revolver on the sixth reel can either delight or mock you by stubbornly refusing to appear. Yet it’s precisely this mix of brutality and unpredictability that keeps you spinning longer than you planned.
Who is it for? Those who don’t fear long dry streaks in exchange for a chance at one truly insane hit. Who is it not for? Those who prefer calm slots with frequent small payouts.
If you want to continue your Nolimit City marathon, we recommend xWays Hoarder 2 — another grim ride, this time in a post-apocalyptic setting filled with radiation and signature mechanics. You can also try Duel at Dawn by Hacksaw — another Western, but a “cleaner” one, featuring gunfights, extra bonus mechanics, and a true duel-at-sunset atmosphere.
