Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz of Ferrari has been fined for crossing the track without permission following a crash during the Singapore Grand Prix qualifying session.

The Spanish driver crashed in the third segment of qualifying, hitting the barriers with the rear of his car. After the incident, Sainz exited his damaged vehicle and ran across the track to the team's pit area without the stewards' approval, reports Motorsport.com.
