Hamilton begins Italian lessons ahead of potential Ferrari move

Seven-time Formula 1 world champion and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has reportedly started taking Italian language lessons in preparation for a possible transfer to Ferrari.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the British driver hopes to quickly establish a connection with the team and build a rapport with his future race engineer, Riccardo Adami.

This mirrors the approach taken by German racing legend Michael Schumacher, who also learned Italian during his time with Ferrari, where he secured seven world titles.

Hamilton is expected to leave Mercedes at the end of the 2024 season and join Ferrari, with Charles Leclerc as his teammate. Current Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz will likely need to find a new team.
