Kagiyama: "The Free Program Showed Me I Need to Believe in Myself"
Japanese figure skater Yuma Kagiyama shared his thoughts on his victory at the fourth Grand Prix stage.
"Today’s free skate showed me that I need to believe in myself. I missed the timing on the quad flip, but I was able to regroup and gain a sense of confidence. It’s a sign of progress," Golden Skate quotes Kagiyama as saying.
The 21-year-old skater earned a total score of 300.09 points across his short and free programs. Italy’s Daniel Grassl took second place with 264.85 points, while Japan’s Tatsuya Tsuboi rounded out the podium with 251.52 points.
