Ricciardo responds to whether he’s ready to be Red Bull's reserve driver
Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has clarified that he has no intention of returning to the role of reserve driver for the team.
“No. Of course, last year it made a lot of sense—to get my foot back in the door, and naturally, the big picture was to try and return to Red Bull. But I think doing it again doesn’t make much sense. I won’t be restarting my career,” the Australian driver told PlanetF1.
It is believed that the Singapore Grand Prix was Ricciardo’s last, with Liam Lawson expected to take over the Red Bull cockpit from the U.S. Grand Prix onwards.
The next race will take place in Austin, USA, with the first free practice session on October 18.
