Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, commented on the 2-1 defeat they suffered at the hands of Brighton in the 11th round of the English Premier League (EPL).

«There’s always a first time for everything in life. Bournemouth deserved their victory, but we performed better in the other matches. After a loss, my explanations might seem like excuses. I would be straightforward if I thought we played poorly, but I don't believe that is the case,» Guardiola was quoted as saying by journalist Ryan Taylor.

It is worth noting that City has endured four consecutive defeats for the first time since 2006, marking the first such downturn in Guardiola's managerial career.

Currently, Manchester City stands in second place on the Premier League table, amassing 23 points.
