Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
The Cleveland Cavaliers returned to Ohio after a demanding trip to Miami. There will be little chance to switch off, though. On the second night of a back-to-back they host the solid Toronto Raptors, who have unexpectedly pushed themselves into the fight for the playoffs.
Cleveland Cavaliers
This season the Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled to find balance between offence and defence. They score 122.3 points per game (fifth in the league) but concede 117.7 (18th). Over the last five games, that figure has climbed to 122.8, which is among the five worst defences in the league.
Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors’ progress is directly linked to their improvement in offence. The Raptors average 119.3 points. It helps that their leading stars are finally healthy and ready to deliver. Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Scottie Barnes combine for 76.2 points for the visitors, which is an outstanding output. As long as they stay healthy, they have every chance of making the top eight.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors Prediction
Recently the Cleveland Cavaliers have got us used to their games being anything but dull. In their last five outings, at least 250 points were scored. The trend should continue here, so we are comfortable backing the over.
