Ding Junhui has secured his participation in the Masters by advancing to the semi-finals. This rises the question why he needed to beat Judd Trump who wanted this final so much. Ding Junhui has won this tournament thrice. It was in 2005, 2009, 2019. So he can do it on the fourth occasion. However, he will need be emotionally strong which is a problem for him.
Ronnie O’Sullivan
He’s progressing. It’s obvious.He’s done with the pain, made his physical conditions better, ended his mistakes. Of course, Ronnie is highly motivated for the games versus Hossein Vafaei. And if he keeps on this way he will make a record in number of these trophies. Judd Trump was eliminated. This means that O’Sullivan will keep the first place in the rating. So he can play without thinking about it.

It’s going to be the eighth trophy for O’Sullivan if he wins. Basically Ronnie has better statistics. 20 wins against 7 of Ding Junhui. I can hardly stop myself from betting on Ronnie when he’s one step closer from the title. It can be a birthday gift for O’Sullivan. He’s birthday is on December 5th.
