Galatasaray are ahead of both Fenerbahce and Besiktas JK, but they are not top of the Turkish Super Lig. A question for the experts — who are the leaders? While you work that out, we will explain what to expect from Galatasaray's match against Kasimpasa.
Galatasaray
Galatasaray lost top spot after a sixth-round defeat to Trabzonspor (0:4) — their first league loss. That happened back on 19 September, as domestic competitions then paused for international fixtures. Before that, Galatasaray had gone five Super Lig matches unbeaten (four wins and a draw), all this season. At home, they are unbeaten in 38 Turkish league matches, a run stretching back to 19 May 2024! They have won 30 of those games.
Kasimpasa
Before that heavy defeat to Trabzonspor, it was Kasimpasa who had inflicted Galatasaray's previous Super Lig loss, winning 1:0. However, Galatasaray were away in the final round of the 2025/26 season and had already celebrated winning the title. They fielded almost an entire reserve team that day. With a competitive line-up, however, they thrashed Kasimpasa 3:0 at home. Incidentally, many of their key players missed that match too. Kasimpasa are unbeaten so far this season, although draws outnumber wins — four to two.
Galatasaray vs Kasimpasa Prediction
We should also point out that Kasimpasa have yet to face any of Turkey's biggest clubs, apart from a home draw in the opening round against last season's third-placed team, Trabzonspor (1:1). Galatasaray's key players recently featured in a painful defeat to Italy (1:3), so they may not start this match. Another reason is their UEFA Champions League meeting with Barcelona next Tuesday. We will therefore back the visitors with a +2 handicap: a one-goal defeat would make the bet a winner, while a two-goal defeat would mean a refund. Returning to our question, newly promoted Amed are top of the league.
