Sky Bounty Demo Mode

Sky Bounty is what happens when Pragmatic Play decides to cross pirates with airships, while also throwing in a wild that suddenly expands and can cover half the grid. On top of that comes a bonus with a moving zone, making every spin feel different. The demo version is available right here on this page, and the full list of games can be found in the demo slots section on Legalbet.

Design and Theme

🖼️ Graphics

Sky Bounty keeps it simple: six reels take up the entire screen, symbols are easy to read, and the theme is pirate-cartoon. In the background — an airship, deck, swaying cannon, and a light illusion of motion. In the bonus round, things get darker: the sky turns stormy, the ship heads into battle, and cannon fire lights up the clouds. The tone shifts, but the slot avoids excessive noise or chaotic animations.

🎶 Звук

The background music is a classic pirate-style tune, like something from old-school computer games. The wild’s sound effect is short and sharp, simply marking its appearance without dramatic flair. But when the bonus round triggers, the tone shifts: a bell rings like a cartoon-style battle alarm, and the music picks up pace — like the start of a mission. No over-the-top theatrics, but it clearly signals a new phase of play.

Special Symbols

The purple kraken in a hat is the Wild. It substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter and can land on all reels. It also pays on its own:

  • 6 Wilds — x20
  • 5 Wilds — x8
  • 4 Wilds — x4
  • 3 Wilds — x1.2

In the base game, the wild can expand to fill a highlighted square (from 2x2 up to 6x6 in size). If multiple wilds land inside the square, the expanded wild receives a multiplier based on how many there are: x2, x3, etc. This multiplier applies to all wins that include the wild.

Airship symbol = Scatter. It lands on all reels and triggers free spins, while also awarding fixed payouts:

  • 6 Scatters — x100
  • 5 Scatters — x30
  • 4 Scatters — x10
  • 3 Scatters — x3

Bonus Game

The bonus triggers with 3 or more scatters. You always get 6 free spins, but if the trigger includes 4, 5, or 6 scatters, some are already counted toward progress. This matters because the round includes a collection system:

  • Every third collected Scatter adds +2 free spins
  • The active zone (highlighted square) grows: from 2x2 → 3x3 → 4x4 → up to 6x6
  • You can get 4 retriggers max. After that, no more progress — and no additional features can be triggered

The zone is a highlighted square that moves across the reels with each spin. If a wild lands inside it, the wild expands to fill the entire zone. All this happens on a separate reel set, different from the base game.

RTP, Volatility, Max Win

Sky Bounty has a theoretical RTP of 96.05%. Volatility is rated max — 5/5. The game can go dry between bonuses, but on paper, it has high payout potential. That said, there’s a hard cap: maximum win is x5000 your bet. If this limit is reached during free spins, the round ends immediately, and any remaining spins are forfeited.

Our Verdict

In the base game, Sky Bounty doesn’t offer much. The 2x2 zone appears frequently, but often ends up doing nothing. Wilds show up — but usually not in the right place or at the right time. Wins mostly come from cheap gem symbols, and even when a wild lands inside the zone, payouts rarely impress. We played 100 spins and didn’t trigger the bonus once, even with Ante Bet enabled, which seemed to throw off the balance more than help.

But once we bought the bonus, the first run gave a 700x win — thanks to active progress, wilds inside the zone, and a 5x5 expansion. The second bonus gave back half, the third broke even, and the fourth surprised again with a 146x win, boosted by multipliers from two wilds. There’s definite potential here — the key is collecting Scatters and building up the zone size. The bigger the zone, the better the odds of landing something big.

If you enjoyed the format with free spins that build potential as the game progresses, try Santa Mummy by Belatra: the grid gradually opens up while the multiplier grows. Or check out Cyber Wolf — wilds infect neighbouring cells, and one lucky spin can trigger an entire chain reaction.
