Beterbiev shared his thoughts on a potential fight with Alvarez

Light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, who holds the WBC, IBF, and WBO titles, shared his thoughts on a potential fight with Mexican boxer Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

"Canelo once held one of the belts in the light heavyweight division. Back then, I was really interested in fighting him. But now… I don't think so. I wouldn't say I'm particularly interested in that fight anymore. For me, it's always been about the championship titles," Beterbiev said in an interview with The Stomping Ground YouTube channel.

Alvarez claimed the WBO light heavyweight title in November 2019 after knocking out Russian Sergey Kovalev.

On October 12, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Beterbiev is set to face Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight championship.
