Sheffield United
Sheffield United already played in the first round of the English Championship, winning 0-2 away against Preston. The team did well in the pre-season friendlies, not losing once and winning four out of five games. However, last season in the Premier League they were the worst team. Many players left the team during the summer , the team’s lineup changed, so maybe that’s why Sheffield United could show a good game, at least at Championship level.
Wrexham
Wrexham, from League One, finished strong in League Two last season, which helped them move up a division. The team has been very productive, playing open football. In the last couple of years, the team has risen from the National League to the First. They are becoming more popular as a brand helped by club’s owners who are also Hollywood stars, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. It’s worth noting that on summer break Wrexham had a US tour and didn’t lose a single match, even having a 2-2 draw with Chelsea. We only see this club is growing.
Sheffield United - Wrexham Prediction
Even though the teams are from the different leagues, the game could be even. This happened last year when they met in the FA Cup Round of 32, and Wrexham managed a 3-3 draw at home. Also the replay was high-scoring 3-1, but not in Wrexham’s favour. However, an interesting option is Wrexham’s individual total, as they play very high-scoring games and almost make it a kind of show.
