Katie Boulter reaches final of Hong Kong tournament
British tennis player Katie Boulter has advanced to the final of the WTA 250 hard-court tournament in Hong Kong.
Ranked 29th in the world, the 28-year-old British athlete overcame China's Yue Yuan, ranked 45th, in the semifinals with a score of 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
The match lasted 2 hours and 34 minutes. Boulter served six aces, converted six out of 15 break points, and committed three double faults. Her opponent, Yuan, managed three aces, converted three out of six break points, and made four double faults.
In the tournament final, Katie Boulter will face Russia's Diana Shnaider, the world number 14.
The WTA 250 tournament in Hong Kong concludes tomorrow, November 3, with a prize fund of $267,082.
