Rafael Nadal has announced his retirement

10 October 2024 10:48

Rafael Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, has announced his retirement from professional tennis following the final stage of the Davis Cup, which is set to take place in Malaga from November 19 to 24.

"I am leaving professional tennis. It has been a challenging few years, especially the last two. I don’t believe I could play without limitations. Clearly, this is a difficult decision," Nadal stated in a video shared on his social media.

Throughout his illustrious career, Rafael Nadal has clinched 92 ATP titles, including 22 Grand Slam tournaments. The Spanish player has also been an Olympic champion on two occasions.
