Sinner's former physiotherapist comments on doping scandal
Yannick Sinner's former physiotherapist, Giacomo Naldi, has weighed in on the doping scandal surrounding the world’s top-ranked tennis player.
"I am upset, like everyone else. I can't say more at this point, but I hope that sooner or later I'll be able to reveal what happened, to show the full picture. Because right now it seems that I'm the only one guilty, which is not true," Naldi was quoted as saying by Relevo.
Officially, the clostebol found in Sinner's doping sample entered his system through a hand ointment applied by his physiotherapist.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding Sinner's doping case, calling for a one to two-year ban for the player.
