Sources indicate that Real Madrid’s management is aware that Vinícius will not be awarded the prize, leading to their decision to forgo participation in the event. Earlier media reports suggested that Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri is expected to receive the honor this year.
The Ballon d'Or ceremony is scheduled for October 28, 2024, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
