Nevertheless, they have a chance to grab another three points against a struggling Twente side. The visitors are also facing difficulties but managed to hold Manchester United to a draw (1:1) and took points from the previous UEFA Europa Conference League winners, Olympiacos (0:0).
Malmö
Malmö have secured just one win in six Europa League outings. They have conceded in every match of the tournament, averaging two goals against per game. However, in four of those encounters, the Swedes found the back of the net, with Erik Botheim scoring four of their six goals. The hosts are also at a disadvantage due to a lack of match practice, as the Swedish league ended in early December, and the new season will only start in mid-February.
Twente
Twente find themselves in an even more challenging situation—no wins in six Europa League matches, but they have recorded four draws. They conceded in five of their tournament games, scoring only four goals themselves, although their expected goals (xG) stat exceeds 5.7. Furthermore, they have Sem Steijn, who is tearing up the Dutch Eredivisie with 15 goals in his tally. He is yet to make an impact in the Europa League, but expectations remain high for the upcoming match.
Malmö vs Twente Prediction
Malmö are not renowned for their solid defence, having conceded against Galatasaray (2:2) and Beşiktaş (1:2), though Erik Botheim is in excellent form.
