Dynamo coach Kozlov explained why one of the NHL draft favorites, Ryabkin, is not playing in the starting lineup for the blue and whites

The assistant coach of Moscow Dynamo commented on the reasons why 17-year-old forward Ivan Ryabkin is not making it into the starting lineup for the Blue and Whites.

"He needs to do some soul-searching, rethink, and start training properly. He is overweight, and this has been pointed out not only by us but also by the national team coach. As soon as he starts preparing correctly and goes on a diet, he'll reach a new level. He possesses qualities that not everyone has, but this is holding him back," Ryabkin is quoted as saying by Sport-Express.

The 17-year-old Ryabkin is one of the top prospects for the upcoming 2025 NHL Draft. During the 2024/25 season, the forward has played nine games for Dynamo in the Junior Hockey League (MHL), registering eight assists.
