Kucherov's assist helps Tampa secure victory over New Jersey in NHL
The Tampa Bay Lightning claimed an 8-5 victory over the New Jersey Devils in their NHL regular-season matchup.
For the Lightning, Brandon Hagel recorded a hat-trick (30th, 34th, and 36th minutes), Victor Hedman scored twice (28th, 38th), and additional goals came from Brayden Point (15th), Jake Guentzel (46th), and Janis Moser (50th). On the Devils' side, Jack Hughes (12th), Timo Meier (21st, 46th), Nathan Bastian (43rd), and Stefan Noesen (53rd) found the back of the net.
Tampa Bay now sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with eight points, while New Jersey holds second with 11 points.
The Lightning will face the Minnesota Wild on October 25, while the Devils will take on the New York Islanders the following day.
