New Jersey Hands Buffalo Second Consecutive NHL Defeat
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Buffalo Sabres 3-1 in a regular-season NHL game. The match was held at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
For the Devils, goals were scored by Seamus Casey on a power play in the 12th minute, Paul Cotter in the 48th, and Timo Meier in the 55th. The Sabres' lone goal came from Tage Thompson in the 29th minute.
As a result, New Jersey now has four points and remains the leader of the Eastern Conference standings. Buffalo sits at the 16th position in the East with no points.
The Devils' next regular-season game is set for October 11 against Toronto, while the Sabres will host Los Angeles on the same day.
