Panarin's hat-trick of assists helped the Rangers defeat Detroit

The New York Rangers secured a victory over the Detroit Red Wings in an NHL regular-season match. The game, held in New York, concluded with a 4-1 win for the hosts.

For the Rangers, goals were scored by Alexis Lafreniere in the 12th minute, Chris Kreider in the 38th, Reilly Smith in the 45th, and Mika Zibanejad in the 59th. Dylan Larkin scored for Detroit in the 20th minute.

Artemi Panarin, representing the Rangers, provided three assists and was named the second star of the game. He became the fourth player in the club's history to record multiple points in each of the first three games of a season, following Chris Kreider (2016/17), Bernie Nicholls (1990/91), and Mike McEwen (1978/79).

Rangers' goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin saved 31 out of 32 shots and was named the third star of the match. Detroit's forward Vladimir Tarasenko did not score any points.
