Aston Villa
Aston Villa hold the fourth position. But the rivalry is fierce, Tottenham are just three points behind. Aston Villa have been performing perfectly well on their ground. They have taken 28 points out of 30 in the last 10 games in Birmingham. Aston Villa were defeated by Newcastle on August 12 in the away game (1:5). However, the Magpies don’t seem to be a dangerous opponent now. So, Aston Villa can strike back.
Newcastle
The Magpies have already beat two opponents in the FA Cup in January. These were Sunderland (3:0) and Fulham (2:0). They have a series of four consecutive defeats in the league, though. Many players are injured, Anderson, Barnes, Joelinton, Pope, Targett, Willock, Lascelles and Wilson. Tonali is disqualified. Newcastle have lost 70% of their away games (7 out of 10). They have conceded 2.2 goals per away game on average.
Aston Villa – Newcastle prediction
Aston Villa played perfectly well on January 26 in their away game versus Chelsea (0:0) in the FA Cup. They didn’t manage to beat them, though. Newcastle advanced to the next round after they eliminated Fulham (2:0). The bad news is that they had only three days to prepare for this game. Aston Villa will use this fact and win.
