Ding beat another Chinese player Cao Yupeng in the previous game (5:1). It was an easy walk for Ding. This is a home tournament for the Chinese snooker player, although he’s been living in England most of the time recently. He’s even launched his snooker school there’ The local fans will still support him.
Shaun Murphy
Shaun Murphy had a pretty tough game against Joe Perry, though Shaun won 5:3. The recent results of Murphy haven’t been perfect. He’s been performing nervous games with a lot of frames played, no matter who’s his opponent. He also missed the games in February.

I don’t expect Murphy to perform a high-class snooker. Yes, he can be a problem for an opponent, but eventually he can’t win a game smoothly. Ding will do his best to make the local fans happy, which can be a problem for him too. I guess we will see a long game with at least 8 frames.
