This is going to be the first match in the tournament for the Brazilian side. However, it doesn’t mean they have low chances to win. Just the opposite, Fluminense are way better than their opponents. They have a 5-time champion of this tournament Marcelo in the squad. All the players of Fluminense are thrice more expensive than the ones from Al Ahly.
Al Ahly Cairo
Al Ahly have been a dominant team in the Egyptian league since the 1940s. They have already proved that no one should underestimate them outside the country. Al Ahly eliminated Saudi Arabian Al-Ittihad in the previous round (3:1). It was a confident victory as their opponents only managed to score at the very end of the game.
Fluminense – Al Ahly Cairo prediction
This is going to be almost an away match for Fluminenses as they play in Jeddah. This can be a real problem for the Brazilian side. They have performed poorly in the away games in the Brazilian league. They occupy the third place from the bottom in expected goals against (xGA = 1,9).
Al Ahly will manage to score, for sure. However, Fluminense will do so, too.
