Mark Selby
Mark Selby hasn’t performed that great as it was in the previous game versus Mark Joyce for long. Selby won 6-0. It definitely seemed like the cruel mockery of his opponent. Considering how unimpressive Selby played before, the fans were very happy. Anyway, there’s no reason to compare this particular game to the unstable autumn period that Mark Selby had. This is why I’m not that sure that he’s the favourite of this match.
Barry Hawkins
Barry Hawkins is more stable than his opponent. He beat Luka Brecel 4-0 not so long ago. Then he beat Robert Milkins. Barry deserves to be praised for the way he’s been playing this season, advancing to the semi-finals of various tournaments on three occasions. Hawkins is very focused on every competition and game, he’s not going to underrate his opponent.

I’m not sure that Mark Selby will be able to perform in the same way as he did in the previous match as now Barry Hawkins is his opponent. I believe that it can be a long game with the advantage switching from one player to another.
