He missed the Welsh Open, citing his bad psychological state as a reason. He watched the games, though. People saw him training on the first day of the tournament, which means that he’s preparing very seriously. The odds speak for themselves, too.
Zhou Yuelong
Zhou’s style is different from what Ronnie prefers. The Chinese player shows balanced snooker with many century breaks. This is good tactics when you have an initiative, which is going to be a problem in the game against O’Sullivan. Zhou Yuelong is considered the most talented Chinese snooker player, but he’s never won a big tournament yet.

Ronnie must win this game. He himself is the only reason that can prevent him from doing it. The Chinese player has never won a head-to-head game, with the last two ending in a decisive frame. I believe that the favourite should win confidently.
