The Belgian side has only 5 points. However, they haven’t lost a home game in this group stage yet. Physical state of the team is worth noting. They have won three games before this meeting. Charles Vanhoutte was very good against Cercle Brugge (2:1). He won 24 tackles, which is the record for the Belgian league this season.
Liverpool
Liverpool have secured their first place in the group and they can focus on the Premier League. They will play against Manchester United this weekend. This is why I believe that all key players will miss the Europa League games. Liverpool didn’t manage to get a point in the previous game against Toulouse (2:3) without their best players.
Saint-Gilloise – Liverpool prediction
So, some key players will miss this game for sure. Jota and Alexis Mac Allister, who would have had a chance to play against his brother otherwise, are injured. There’s no need to risk when the Reds are racing for the Premier League title. The Belgian side will be better motivated as winning this game can mean advancing to the Europa League play-offs for them.
I believe that the squad that Liverpool will have in this game won’t let them take even one point.
