Best Euro 2024 Outright Odds
There is an abundance of Euros betting odds to choose from, with each and every match having several hundred markets. It is not only each game that can be wagered on though, there are also more long term propositions known as “outright” markets that can be placed before the tournament begins and then last until the result is known which can be at the final whistle of the very last game.
Euro 2024 Winner Odds
At the time of writing the exact finalists are not yet known and there are three spaces still up for grabs. Regardless of who makes the cut though they will not be amongst the favourites and so it is safe to commence analysis of that now. Not surprisingly the tournament winner odds have the big five European heavy weights as the leaders of the pack with similar odds, before a big drop away to the sixth team.
Odds on England to Win Euros
Perhaps surprisingly the England odds to win Euro 2024 are just 7/2 which puts them as clear favourites to win the tournament. They have been performing well in recent international competitions making the 2018 World Cup semi finals, losing to France in the quarter finals in 2022, and in the previous Euros tournament made the final only to lose to Italy. It should be noted that they have never actually won though, the last major trophy coming their way in 1966!
Latest odds to win the Euros:
Close behind them in the bookies eyes are France who come into the tournament in good form and full of confidence, having navigated their qualifying group without losing a game, and notching up an impressive 14-0 win on the way. The bookies generally have them at 3/1 to win.
After those two front runners there are then three more teams that the bookies have as likely contenders for the title. All with similar odds this group includes the hosts Germany. Being the host nation does not guarantee anything, but there is a strong correlation between hosting a tournament and going on to do better than was expected or that the form book suggests.
Along with Germany the neighbours Spain and Portugal are tipped to be there or thereabouts, Portugal bringing with them their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo for what may well be his last Euros tournament. All three of these countries are readily available at odds of around 7/1.
Euro 2024 Golden Boot Odds
Another form of outright market available for punters to bet on is the winner of the Golden Boot award. This is open to all players but due to the qualifying criteria is predominantly won by strikers. The title is won by whoever scores the most goals in the tournament but unlike the top goalscorer market it differs in that there can be only one winner. If two players have both scored the same number of goals than assists are taken into account. If that is also tied then the winner is whoever has had the least playing time on the pitch.
Having said that the Golden Boot odds and the Euro 2024 top scorer odds are going to be correlated, and at times exactly the same. There is a difference between the markets though.
- Kylian Mbappé odds to become the top scorer — 5/1
- Harry Kane odds to become the top scorer — 11/2
- Cristiano Ronaldo odds to become the top scorer — 12/1
- Jude Bellingham odds to become the top scorer — 14/1
- Olivier Giroud odds to become the top scorer — 20/1
Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament Odds
The player of the tournament award was first officially awarded in 1996 and has become a regular feature of ever tournament since. Amongst the previous winners are illustrious names such as Zinedine Zidane, Andrés Iniesta, and Antoine Griezmann.
Euro 2024 Final Odds
As well as winning the tournament it is also possible to bet on how far each team will progress in the tournament, be it qualifying from their respective group, making it to the quarter finals, the semi finals, or indeed the final itself. Wagering on the odds for european championship finalists is a nuanced bet due to the fact that you will not know at the start who you will have to face in order to get there.
To win outright you have to be better than everybody, whereas to get to the final you just have to be better than those you face on the way. You will not know this at the start of the tournament because it will depends on who qualifies from the groups and in what positions but trying to predict this and map a route for each team to take is part of the fun of this bet.

Euro 2024 Groups Odds
When the final stages of the Euro 2024 tournament begins in June the original 53 teams competing will have been reduced to just 24. These 24 teams have been placed into 6 groups of 4 with the winners of each qualifying group separated from the runners up in order to keep the best teams apart in these early stages. After all the teams have played each other within their group they will be allocated 3 points for each win and 1 point for each draw. The top two teams in each group will then progress to the knock out stages.
Group A Odds
Group A kicks off on June 14th when Germany face Scotland in the opening game. The next day Hungary take on Switzerland and it is fair that Germany are strong favourites to win the group. The other teams are pretty evenly matched without an obvious strong or weak side in it, so every game will be a tough one and every team will be there looking to win.

Group B Odds
In Group B there is a clear favourite in Spain, who play their first and toughest game against Croatia on June 15th and immediately after that Italy take on the group underdogs Albania. It is likely that Spain will top the group and Albania will be at the foot, leaving Italy and Croatia to scrap it out for the second qualifying position.

Group C Odds
England will be pleased to find themselves in Group C as it is one of the easier of the groups to advance from, on paper at least. They are strong favourites to top the group which would set them up for an easier run in as the tournament progresses. The toughest test will come from Denmark who have Kasper Schmeichel in goal and will be hard to score against. The other two teams Slovenia and Serbia should be a lot easier to beat.

Group D Odds
France are the strongest team in this group by some distance, and are likely to qualify with ease, in fact you need to go back over 30 years to find the last time France did not advance beyond the group stages of a Euros competition. The remaining spaces are made up by Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland. The latter won the play-offs, consequently beating Estonia (5:1) and Wales on penalties. This should be a close group.

Group E Odds
Belgium are the headline team in Group E and likely to qualify in top spot. The others places are made up by Slovakia who actually won the event way back in 1976 (as Czechoslovakia) and Romania who have never gone past the Quarter finals. Both teams will be hoping to go as far as possible this year with progressing from the group the minimum target. The fourth position was taken by Ukraine, who won the play-offs, consequently beating Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland.

Group F Odds
Portugal head up Group F with their star player Christiano Ronalodo playing in what will likely be his last Euros campaign. They are sure to be joined by Turkey and the Czech Republic with the final space being taken by Georgia, who won the play-offs, consequently beating Luxembourg (2:0) and Greece on penalties.

UEFA European Football Championship Regulations
The format of the Euros has evolved over time, most noticeably in the number of teams that are registered to take part. In 1960 when the first competition took place just 17 teams were entered, and there was only one preliminary round before going straight to the last 16 knock out stage. These days there are over 50 teams competing in the qualifying groups, and an eventual 24 making it to what are affectionately known as the Euros.
- The 24 teams that have made it to the finals are split into 8 groups of four, named Group A through to Group F.
- Each team plays the other three teams in their group once scoring 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.
- After all three games have been played the top two teams progress to the knock out stages.
- These are known as the “last 16” stage, and here there is one game played between the winners of each group and the runners up of another group. If there is no winner after 90 minutes of normal time an additional 30 minutes is played. If there is no winner at the end of that then it goes to penalties.
- The quarter finals (the last 8) and then semi finals (the last 4) follow exactly the same procedure.
- Once at the semi final stage if you win then you are in the final, if you lose then there is a match between both losers to play for third place the day before the grand final.
- The final is played in exactly the same format as every other knock out stage game, ultimately being decided on a penalty shoot out should it get that far.
