A star of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games will portray a hitwoman in a film

Kim Ye-jin, the silver medalist in the 10-meter air pistol event at the Paris Olympics, is set to make her film debut.

Ye-jin gained attention at the 2024 Olympics thanks to her charismatic stance during competitions.

The 32-year-old South Korean athlete will take on a cameo role as a hitwoman in the film "Asia," which serves as a sequel to the short series "The Crush."

Her management agency believes that her involvement in the project won't mark the beginning of an official acting career but rather act as a means to raise interest in the sport of shooting.

"We believe that her appearance in the film will help increase public interest in shooting sports. Ye-jin is already actively working to promote her sport, despite the significant pressure she faces before major competitions. We will continue to support and inspire her to reach new heights," stated a representative from the agency.

The film "Asia" will address themes of racial hatred and discrimination, featuring actors from the United States and over seven Asian countries.
