WADA Denies Reports of Missing Doping Tests Ahead of Olympics
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has responded to reports of a data leak related to athletes' doping tests ahead of the 2024 Olympics.
«Contrary to claims, the technical issues encountered during data transfer had no negative impact on the Paris Games. All information was available at all times, and all data related to athletes heading to Paris was verified by WADA.
As with the New York Times reporting on cases involving Chinese swimmers, rather than adhering to the facts, the newspaper has once again allowed itself to be influenced by sources with questionable motivations, as part of a campaign to discredit WADA,» the organization stated.
Earlier, the New York Times reported that WADA had lost information on open cases and test results ahead of the Paris Olympics.
