Bentancur could face seven-match ban over joke about Son
Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur may face a seven-match suspension for a comment about his teammate Son Heung-min, according to Daily Mail.
During an appearance on Uruguayan television, host Rafa Cotelo asked Bentancur for Son’s shirt, to which he responded, “Sonny’s shirt? It could also be Sonny’s cousin… they all look the same.”
The English Football Association (FA) has charged Bentancur, considering the comment a serious offense as it involved inappropriate conduct, the use of offensive or abusive language, and damage to the reputation of the game.
