Former Monaco Player Ben Yedder Convicted of Rape — RMC Sport
Former AS Monaco forward Wissam Ben Yedder has been found guilty in a rape case.
According to RMC Sport, the court sentenced Ben Yedder to a two-year suspended prison term and ordered him to pay the victim €6,500 in compensation. Additionally, he is required to pay a €5,000 fine and cover €1,500 in court costs.
Ben Yedder was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, September 7, in the Alpes-Maritimes region following a complaint from a woman born in 2001. The French forward was charged with sexual assault while intoxicated, disturbing public order, and driving under the influence.
This past summer, Ben Yedder left Monaco following the expiration of his contract. During his time with the club, he made 201 appearances, scored 118 goals, and provided 34 assists.
