Mourinho reacts emotionally to sending off against Manchester United

Fenerbahçe head coach José Mourinho has offered his thoughts on the incident leading to his dismissal during the third round group stage match of the Europa League against Manchester United, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the second half, the Portuguese coach was sent off for his passionate response to the referee following a non-awarded penalty against the opposition.

«I don't want to talk about it. It's simply incredible. The referee told me he simultaneously observed the situation in the penalty area and my behavior on the touchline. Congratulations, that's utterly incredible, as with one eye he was assessing the penalty call and with the other, he was watching the bench and my conduct,» Mourinho remarked, as quoted by The Guardian.

Fenerbahçe's next Europa League match will take place against AZ Alkmaar on November 7.
