Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
Visually, 4 Reel Kings looks like a hybrid of a fruit machine and a fairground show. In the base game, you see four separate reels on the screen at once, featuring classic symbols: cherries, plums, tens, letters, and gold bags. The colours are simple and high-contrast, without unnecessary decoration.
When a random King feature triggers, a chubby character pops up with a mini-slot filled with sevens. This moment brings life to the otherwise static screen and adds excitement — especially when several Kings appear at the same time.
🎶 Sound
The audio in 4 Reel Kings follows the style of traditional Novomatic machines: short signals when the reels stop, payout sounds, and interface clicks. There are no dedicated musical themes or extended background tracks — the sound remains functional and unobtrusive, supporting the gameplay without drawing attention away from it.

Special Symbols
To understand how to play 4 Reel Kings, it’s easiest to look at the special elements — they are what drive the gameplay.
- Wild (Jester’s Cap): appears only on reels 3–5 and substitutes for all symbols.
- Kings with Suits: can appear at any moment and turn into separate mini-reels.
Bonus Game
In 4 Reel Kings, the bonus revolves around the mini-reels with Kings. Up to five Kings can appear on the screen, each launching its own 3-symbol slot.
- Yellow 7s: x25 of the bet
- Red 7s: x10 of the bet
- Blue 7s: x5 of the bet
- Mixed combination of any 7s: x2 of the bet
These mini-reels keep spinning until the first non-winning spin, after which that King disappears. Each King pays out its own sequence of wins, and all active Kings are added together. The overall payout range for the feature is x5 to x500 of the total bet.
It’s also worth noting that the Reel King Feature can activate not only randomly. During the game, letters in the top banner light up to spell “4 REEL”. If the inscription is completed within four rounds, the feature triggers guaranteed.
The game additionally includes a Gamble feature. After any win, you can risk the amount and climb the ladder of doublings.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
RTP — 94.00%. Volatility is medium. The provider does not officially state the maximum win, but it’s worth noting that a full screen of Bags of Gold pays x500 of the total bet.
Our Verdict
In the demo, the Kings triggered quite often for us, though mostly on the first reel set. Wins during the feature come in steps: a couple of small hits followed by a sudden stop. The base game throws out payouts regularly, but most of them are small and don’t hold the balance for long.
This slot is more suited for players who enjoy old-school mechanics and straightforward paytables. For those looking for more modern ideas, try Aloha King Elvis, where the reels change depending on the bonus mode. And fans of retro-style slots will appreciate Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe — the same familiar vibe with a slightly different set of symbols and feel.
Frequent small payouts keep a balance alive longer than high-volatility slots do — a sensible profile for playing at low deposit casinos on a modest bankroll.
Overall, Classic Novomatic titles including Reel King are widely stocked, and 5 pounds deposit casino sites aren’t an exception.
