Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
Visually, Bison Battle leans towards cartoon epic: the bisons look fierce but not horrific — more like heroes of a Wild West comic book. The background changes depending on the bonus — icy landscapes or green meadows. The animal symbols — eagle, bear, wolf, lynx — are drawn in detail, with predatory eyes and fur that seems to move. Even the card suits are stylised as carved stone patterns, so they don’t look like cheap filler.
🎶 Sound
The audio in Bison Battle is built on constant drum pressure and tense horn motifs. Each bison clash comes with a heavy impact sound, as if two stone blocks collide. The animal symbols growl or screech in short bursts to emphasise winning lines. Overall, the soundtrack works for the atmosphere of confrontation — not distracting, but never letting you fully relax.

Special Symbols
- Wild (Golden Bison): substitutes for all regular symbols; in the base game, appears on reels 2–4, and in the Green Valley bonus becomes sticky.
- Blue Bison (Blue Scatter): appears only on reel 1; together with a Red Bison carrying a multiplier on the same line, it triggers the Ice Park bonus.
- Green Bison (Green Scatter): appears only on reel 1; together with a Red Bison carrying a multiplier on the same line, it triggers the Green Valley bonus.
- Red Bison (framed bison): appears on reels 1 and 5; on reel 1 it carries an instant prize (x5–x2500) and moves to the right, on reel 5 it carries a multiplier (x1–x10) and moves to the left; when they meet on the same row, Bison Clash triggers.
Bonus Game
Bonuses in Bison Battle depend on which bisons meet on the same row: the blue one leads to Ice Park, the green one to Green Valley, and two red ones activate Clash:
- Bison Clash: if a Red Bison with a prize and a Red Bison with a multiplier meet on the same row, the payout equals prize x multiplier.
- Ice Park (respins): triggered when a Blue Bison and a multiplier Red Bison meet on the same row. You receive 3 respins. On reels 1 and 5, Red Bisons with multipliers up to x10 move across the grid; on reels 2–4, sticky coins with values up to x2500 appear. Each new symbol resets the respin counter back to 3. The round ends when no respins remain.
- Green Valley (free spins): triggered when a Green Bison and a multiplier Red Bison meet on the same row. The player receives 8 free spins. Wilds on reels 2–4 become sticky. Red Bisons on reels 1 and 5 increase the value of sticky wilds in the row and can award additional spins.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
RTP is 96.40%. Volatility is high. The maximum win is capped at x50,000 of the stake.
Our Verdict
In the Bison Battle demo, it genuinely felt like the slot lives from one bison encounter to the next: the base game keeps the balance afloat through occasional wins and the “walking” red bisons, but real momentum only begins when the bonuses trigger. Ice Park can drag on, with sticky coins gradually building the total, while Green Valley shines thanks to sticky wilds that hold their positions and accumulate multipliers. At the same time, there are plenty of dead spins, and waiting for the right combination can take a while.
If you want a similar atmosphere but with a different approach, try Buffalo King Megaways by Pragmatic Play — instead of paylines, you get ways to win, and big combinations form differently. And for players interested in a mix of respins, free spins and a very unconventional portal mode, Tony Gambler is worth a look.
