Royal Mint: Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
The setting is the façade of the mint, clad in white marble, with columns, gold accents, and delicate sakura branches on the sides. The symbols are faceted gems and classic A–9 icons with golden trims; additional rows spin at the top and bottom, occasionally “delivering” wilds. In the bonus, the visuals darken, the reels glow with warm metal tones, and the large x-multiplier on screen grows after each reaction — it’s visually clear that the focus is on pace and momentum rather than intricate animations.
🎶 Sound
The music is a looping tune with light jazzy touches — a recognisable BTG style. Clicks, cascades and symbol additions are voiced with those signature “industrial” ticks familiar from other studio titles. In the bonus, the rhythm accelerates but never becomes frantic: the soundtrack emphasises the rising multiplier and the tension that something big might be coming. Overall, the audio helps maintain concentration even when spins come in long series.

Special Symbols
- Wild (rainbow medallion-coin): substitutes for all symbols except the scatter. Appears only on the additional horizontal rows. Does not pay on its own.
- Scatter “MINT” (golden M-I-N-T tiles): the key to the bonus. In the base game, it can land on any of the six vertical reels. Does not pay on its own.
- Gold Bar (Heartstopper progress): does not land on the reels; awarded for exactly 3 scatters in the base game. Accumulates separately for each bet value and unlocks the enhanced version of free spins.
Bonus Game
- Free Spins. 4 scatters trigger 12 free spins; each additional scatter awards +4 FS. An unlimited win multiplier applies in the round, starting at x1 and increasing by +1 after every cascade. In free spins, scatters appear only on the extra rows; 3 scatters award +4 FS, and each extra one gives another +4. The round plays at the stake used when it was triggered.
- Heartstopper Enhanced Free Spins. In the base game, hitting exactly three scatters awards 1 gold bar. Collect 40, and every base-game spin will receive +1 scatter until the next trigger, which then launches the enhanced free spins. Here, the multiplier starts at x2 and increases by +2 after every reaction. Progress is stored separately for each stake.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
The RTP in this slot is 96.50%. Volatility is high. The maximum win is x41,300 the stake.
Our Verdict
Royal Mint is one of those cases where a simple visual style hides grown-up maths. Cascade streaks often clear the screen “to the bone”, and the multiplier in free spins grows without a cap — this is exactly where the game can “explode”. Heartstopper adds a long but fair goal: collect gold bars at your chosen stake and wait for the enhanced version of the bonus. The downside is that downswings can be long; high volatility is tough on the bankroll. The upside is that every reaction gives a chance to build the multiplier.
What else can you try:
- Monopoly Megaways (BTG): a board-style slot with movement across squares, upgrades, and multipliers for advancing along the field — ideal for players who enjoy progression and elements of a world-famous game.
- Reactoonz (Play’n GO): a grid slot without paylines, with clusters and the Gargantoon. A 3x3 mechanic with a totally different rhythm, but a great choice for those wanting fresh sensations and lots of micro-events on the screen.
