Chinakhov and Marchenko's goals lead Columbus to NHL win over Buffalo

For the Blue Jackets, Russian players Yegor Chinakhov (6th minute, power play) and Kirill Marchenko (20th) made crucial contributions, alongside goals from Adam Fantilli (33rd), Mathieu Olivier (38th), Zach Aston-Reese (41st), and Damon Severson (49th). The visitors responded with goals from Ryan MacLeod (30th), Jiri Kulich (38th), Owen Power (40th), and John-Jason Peterka (58th).

Blue Jackets defenseman Ivan Provorov, along with teammate Kirill Marchenko, also notched an assist in the encounter.

Columbus stands ninth in the NHL Eastern Conference standings with four points, while Buffalo is positioned 14th with three points.

The Blue Jackets are set to face the Minnesota Wild at home on October 20, while the Sabres will travel to play the Chicago Blackhawks on the same day.
